a warrior

A warrior accepts that we can never know what will happen to us next.
We can try to control the uncontrollable by looking for security and predictability,
always hoping to be comfortable and safe.
But the truth is that we can never avoid uncertainty.
This not knowing is part of the adventure.
It's also what makes us afraid.

A fave of mine - Pema Chodron

Come out and practice being a warrior this evening in yoga class. I'll be teaching at 5:45 and Emily will be teaching at 7:15.

Sharon, I love this quote! It's so true - feeling uncertainty is hard, and letting go of control is hard (trying to get better at it...). But I guess I do have to give up control to gain something more important - sanity and well-being! Thanks for sharing this.
